Comfort is uncomfortable

Things that are hard to do mean more.

The best paintings once evoked more wonder than the best photographs. Now everyone has an iPhone in their pocket.

People pay more for artisan products, not always because they’re objectively more useful, but because they mean something. The care has weight.

It’s easy to avoid living life, in the moment. It’s much harder looking back when there’s nothing to show for it.

Having plans is painful right before you leave the comfort of your home.

Novelty is sticky. Memories form. Time passes slower.

Comfort is uncomfortable, looking back. Did it even happen?

We keep smoothing away friction, then wondering why things don’t stick.
